Crowns & bridges

Crowns:

Crowns are restorations that cover or cap teeth, restoring them to their natural size, shape, and color. When decay is so extensive, a crown (cap) is recommended. Our single crowns and bridges are custom designed to match all shapes and forms of adjacent natural teeth. Our laboratory colors and shapes the porcelain to offer each patient a distinctive and individual prosthetic restoration. Even a poorly maintained or badly damaged tooth can benefit from a well designed, correctly placed crown. This cap not only helps appearance, but can also save a tooth that might otherwise be lost.

Case 1 - All Ceramic

This patient presents with a missing upper tooth and unhappy about the appearance of the front teeth. An implant and metal-free crowns were recommended.

After careful planning, orthodontic, implant placement and gum surgery procedures, the teeth were prepared and a final mold taken.

The metal-free crowns were design over a model correcting shape and color of front teeth. The implant was restored with a conventional metal base porcelain crown and cemented over the post.

The metal-free crowns are bonded to the natural teeth restoring ideal form, color and function of the anterior upper dentition. Very good translucency is achieved using metal-free crowns.

Case 2 - Metal Based Crowns

This patient is unhappy about the appearance of the two front teeth. Color and shape, as well as gum inflammation were of paramount importance for the patient.

After removing the old crowns, it was determined that a build-up need to be performed with additional gum surgery in order to save the teeth.

Two gold based post were cemented into the roots of the two front teeth allowing ideal length for support of the final metal-based crowns.

The final metal-based crowns are cemented. Ideal translucency and special effects can be incorporated in the porcelain, maximizing esthetic and overall result.

Case 3 - Bridges on Natural Teeth

This patient is not happy with the two front crowns. The front right tooth on the patient’s mouth will be extracted and it was planned to fabricate a fixed bridge. Before taking the tooth out a temporary bridge will be fabricated

After removing the tooth, the adjacent teeth were prepared to received the temporary bridge.

The temporary bridge was placed, and the shape, color and position of teeth is then evaluated by the Dr and patient. After the soft tissue has healed and mature a final mold is taken and the final porcelain and metal bridge is constructed

The final bridge is placed restoring color, shape and the missing tooth on the right side of the patient.
