Multiple Teeth Replacement

Case 1 - Missing Two Central Incisors

The patient required removal of both of her central incisors because of fracture and chronic infection

To create sufficient bone after tooth extraction, a graft was placed into the extraction sockets. The area was allowed to heal for 4 months which allowed for sufficnet time for bone to form in the tooth sites.

During the time for healing a clear plastic tooth retainer was made to provide the patient with teeth.

The implants were placed without incisions, only small holes in the tissue to allow for the implants to be placed.

After the implants were placed, abutments were placed and temporary teeth were placed. Here are the temporary teeth after 3 months of healing.

After 4 months of healing the temporary crowns were removed and final impressions were taken to make the final crowns.

The final crowns were made to reconstruct this patient’s missing teeth.

Case 2 - Missing Lateral Incisors

This patient did not develop her lateral incisors.  Orthodontic therapy positioned the remaining teeth to make space for the placement of implants and single crowns

The implant surgery was performed using local anesthesia. Incisions were made around the teeth to hide the incisions and prevent visible scars. The implants were placed.

After four months for healing, the top of the implant was exposed in such a manner to push tissue to the lip side, creating additional tissue thickness for the needed final crown.

The final restoration is very esthetic and creates a normal tooth appearance.

Case 3

This patient requested a new set of fixed teeth to replace her removable partial denture. She has had previous procedures in another city which resulted in significant bone loss.

She has significant loss of normal bone height. She required grafting to allow placement of implants.

This model shows the location of the implants. From this model, her final crowns and bridges can be fabricated.

This is the final bridge which is fixed in position on the implant. Pink porcelin is used to provide the missing soft tissue which was lost from previous procedures and severe periodontal disease.

This xray shows the implants that were placed to support the new fixed set of teeth.

This photo shows the esthetic appearance of the final new crowns when the patient is smiling.

Case 4 - Replacement of two teeth with orthodontics to enhance the final esthetic result

This patient desired an esthetic set of teeth and needs replacement of her left incisors in her upper jaw.

To lower the gingival to restore it to its original position, prior to los of bone from periodontal disease, orthodontics was used. The left central incisor and the left lateral incisor were erupted slowly.

The left incisors have been erupted and the margin of the soft tissue has moved to the esthetic desired position.

Two implants were placed without making incisions, and a fixed temporary bridge placed.

A new set of temporary crowns were made. Using this set of temporaries as a model, the final crowns were then fabricated. This is the new set of temporaries just prior to placement of the final set of teeth.
