Computerized Implant Planning

Our team is well trained to provide you with an exciting new revolutionary concept providing patients with functioning teeth on dental implants within a few hours of implant placement. The process begins with a thorough work up to demonstrate exactly where your new teeth must be located to provide you with the best esthetic and function reconstruction. Based on the diagnostic work up, a treatment plan will be developed to include CT scanning and virtual surgery. The newly designed teeth will be placed in your mouth when you get a ct scan, using a specific scanning protocol. Our office has a cone-beam scanner (i-CAT) which allows you to have the CT scan performed in our office with much less radiation compared to conventional CT scanners. The temporary teeth will provide important information concerning the location of your bone in relation to the planned tooth position.

The CT scan will be processed by our team to provide important information concerning your bone and the planned treatment for you. This technology allows for collaboration between both the restorative doctor and the surgeon. This merging of knowledge and experience achieves not only increased safety, but also a more precise implant placement.

In addition, the fabrication of a provisional prosthesis is completed prior to the surgery. Computer-guided implant surgery may be chosen for you and is performed in an arthroscopic fashion without requiring incisions and tissue reflection.

This benefits the patient in that there is less postoperative discomfort, less swelling and less bruising. Patients can often resume their normal activities the next day.

Minimally invasive surgery is always used for ultimate patient comfort.
